Title: BB la Parisienne par excellence !
Review: Une comédie pétillante d’humour avec une BB absolument a l’aise dans ce role de comédie très representative de la fin des années 50 en France.BB et Henri Vidal forme un couple tout a fait charmant dans un film réalise par Michel Boisrond.Coté Technique: Cette version est tout a fait bien restaurée, les couleurs vibrent et je dois dire que c’est la meilleure édition de ce film.Dans la précédente édition de René chateau les couleurs étaient un peu fades et dans les deux 1er minutes du film il n’y avait pas d’image et seulement la bande son.Pour les bonus et bien c’est vraiment pas terrible … on n’apprend vraiment pas grand chose sur ce film et c’est vraiment dommage . A quand de vrai commentaires …Un film bien charmant et avec qui vous passerez une excellent soirée.et BB est pétillante de Beauté et vie mesquinerie !

Title: M’a beaucoup intéressé !
Review: Outre B.B., parfaite à souhait dans ce rôle, j’ai énormément aimé retrouver dans ce film les vues de Paris tel qu’il était au moment du tournage : 1957 c’est encore le « vieux » Paris, sans les actuelles voies de communication, les véhicules des années 50, un bel intérieur moderne de l’époque, bref, un grand bond animé dans une époque en voie de devenir elle aussi, un jour, « culte ».

Review: Comment ne pas aimer un film avec l’égérie des années 60- entourée de magnifiques acteurs. Du cinéma qui donne une grande bouffée d’air pur comme l’était les films dans ces années 60.Un pur moment de détente. Du bon cinéma et comme toujours nos yeux envoutés par la sublime Brigitte Bardot.

Review: For NTC customers: This is just about the only viable version out there and if you can get it for about the $15 that I paid for it on the Amazon Marketplace, you’re going to be quite satisfied. As I haven’t seen the film since its original release, I don’t remember if it was originally released in a widescreen format. At any rate the version offered by the Korean distributor is in the square old fashioned format. The print is decent with good color rendition and no scratches. The subtitles (that you have to select in the menu) come in Korean and English. The soundtrack is in the original French.This is one of Bardot’s best. Fluff French style at its most delightful. If you want depth go elsewhere. It’s all about a young wife wanting to make her busy diplomat husband (played by hunk Henri Vidal) jealous by pretending to have an affair with – Charles Boyer – of all people. Nevertheless, Brigitte makes it all quite enjoyable.Warning: I caught this film in its original FRENCH release, and I remember a fair amount of nudity (Bardot’s) that is absent from this Korean print.The music is early Swingle Singers variety, and it will either put a nostalgic smile on your face or send you up the walls.Until Image Entertainment or Lionsgate or Criterion get a hold of this, this will do quite well. Don’t pay more than $15 bucks for it, though.

Review: This 2015 issue from TFI in France is a new high definition restoration from the original 35mm film. What it finally restores is the pre-title video scene of her driving in traffic. Otherwise it appears to be the same edit as before, with nudity cut in the bathtub scene.The shape of the image stated on this Amazon page is not correct. They used the entire area of the 35mm film, which is aspect ratio 1.37, not cropped to the 1.66 of the theatrical release. Then it’s placed within the 16:9 frame.The region is 2, and the language is only French in the audio and the subtitles. In 1958 the film was dubbed in English and released theatrically as La Parisienne. That has never been issued on video, but it has been on British TV.As for the movie, I consider it her best. A genuinely good screenplay and an enjoyable comedy-romance. The man of the film Henri Vidal is tricked by accidental circumstances into marrying Brigitte, which she wanted. Then she gets distracted in a fling with a visiting prince, Charles Boyer. In the end French culture deems that all is well.Amazon does not bother placing reviews under the correct release, only lumps all the reviews for the original movie together under every release there is. This review is for ASIN: B014G9BQIK.So in English Canada you would not get much out of this one even if you could play region 2. Quebec and St. Boniface would be markets. Note that it is an import from France, which Amazon refuses to tell us, but Customs did not bother with it.

Review: If you have never seen a film with Brigitte Bardot, then this is a good place to start. She illuminates the screen with her charm, beauty & undeniable talent. Like many romantic comedies of the same era, there is a real air of charm here, which film makers fail to capture in today’s movies. I wish she had made more English speaking films though, because just like her counterparts of the same time (Marilyn Monroe & Doris Day), she is endearing & wonderful to watch in these types of romantic comedies. But apparently she rarely liked to leave her beloved France – at least she did things her way I suppose.
