Review: I have been spellbound by Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique the first time I heard it. The Symphonie Fantastique has a special place in French romantic music. Over many years, I have listened to many interpretations of the Symphonie Fantastique. Too many to count! And among all these, this video recording by the Berliner Philharmoniker under Mariss Jansons is my preferred. In addition to the music we are treated to beautiful images of the Haga Eirene church in Istambul where it was recorded. But the images do not distract from the music. Mariss Jansons is one of the greatest conductor of the turn of the century and it is fascinating to watch him in action. He creates a complicity and communicates with his musicians like no other conductor that I have seen. All the emotions that he wants to convey can be read on his face. One could almost hear the music by just watching Mariss Jansons! And one can hear all the emotions in the music!

Review: まず最初に、リージョンコードが1と表記されてますが、リージョン0の間違いです。一般的なプレイヤーで再生可能です。安心してください。『幻想交響曲』は大好きな曲なので、ミュンシュ、カラヤン、デュトワのCDとハイティンクのLDを所有してますが、DVDで見たいなぁと思い、この作品を購入しました。感想としては、さすがベルリン・フィルという素晴らしい演奏で、文句のつけようがありません。ヤンソンスの指揮もエネルギッシュで見ごたえがあります。最近の収録なので、映像・音ともに満足しています。
