Title: très beau film, poétique !
Review: j’ai beaucoup aimée ce film, au début j’ai étée un peu décu par rapport à la qualité des effets spéciaux dans certaines scènes (notamment au début) puis après j’ai étée agréablement surprise :)Je ne suis pas une fan de film guerrier, même si cela me plait un peu, mais l’histoire d’amour est très belle. Il y a de belle image.Je le conseille !je pense qu’en vostfr, il doit être encore mieux.

Title: un sénario convenu
Review: 2 villages isolés se font la guerre depuis des générations, abritant des guerriers aux talents multiples (ils grimpent aux arbres !!!) – le nouveau shogun les conduit à se défier en vue de les éliminer tous deux car ils constituent une menace pour l’unité du Japon. Bien entendu, on greffe par dessus une histoire de Roméo et Juliette, chacun d’un village ennemi. Rasoir, malgré deux « héros » au look de top-model et une superbe image

Title: Pour les enfants ?
Review: Interessé par la Japon, je me suis dit que cette histoire pouvait me distraire un peu. Ayant lu de bonnes critiques, je me suis laissé aller à prendre un risque qui me paraissait limité en achetant ce DVD. C’était plutôt une erreur. Du point de vue historique, tout est bancal. Même si le film est esthétique, le scenario est convenu et même pesant. Je me suis franchement ennuyé en me disant que ce film était sans doute destiné à un public plus jeune. Les amateurs de mangas et jeux video y trouveront peut-être leur compte. Pour les amateurs d’histoires de samourais ou de ninjas dignes de ce nom, vieux vaut passer son chemin.

Review: A high quality ninja film about ancient clan rivalry. The strongest warriors in the the two clans are desperately in love. However fearful of the power of the two clans Hanzo and the other schemers at the royal court decide to force them to pit their strongest warriors against each other. This film has high production values, a story and ninjutsu at its most elegant. The only possible criticism is that it is sub titled. A english language version would have made it perfect.

Review: A simple tale that highlights the lowlights and plight of love. The story itself was an interesting one and rather than ‘all action’ it did have an overpowering emotional blanket wrapping the characters together and giving the action a meaning, rather than just action for action’s sake. It is the first film of it’s kind that I have seen, being a big fan of world cinema. Crouching Tiger and other such films are not the same type as this.. this feels less Hollywoody in composure and more true to it’s origins. I’m not a huge fan of DVD extras, but watched/ read the various character bios – very well laid out and appealing. Clearly, I’m impressed and do recommend this film.Only real negative was that we didn’t see more of the different characters from the clans. This film could easily have been made much, much longer or even have had a sequel.. it only really lacked in this respect. BIG THUMBS UP to the director.. you can tell he loves his work and researches well. For instance, the most interesting weapon in the film (the chakra) was rightly attributed to it’s founders; the Sikhs of India.Well done!
