Title: Nostalgie quand tu nous tiens!
Review: Très bon film familial pétri de bons sentiments propre aux films produits par spielberg dans les années 80.Je suis nostalgique de cette époque, de par la magie qui ressortait de ce type de métrages car dénués totalement d’effets numériques. Ici, le maquillage, le costume sont tant réussis que big foot, alias harry pour les intimes, nous paraît bien réel et fort sympathique.Une prouesse quand on sait que les animatroniques étaient rois dans ce cinéma des années 80!L’histoire quant à elle est naïve mais attachante. On passe un bon moment, le film alternant les scènes de comédie avec celles plus larmoyantes.Regarder big foot, c’est l’adopter!Et rien que pour revoir kevin the prédator peter hall reprendre du service en interprétant le rôle du sasquatch, l’achat est justifié.Je termine en précisant que l’envoi a été quasi instantané et le produit neuf m’est parvenu en parfait état. Bravo à l’expéditeur.Bon visionnage à vous!

Title: Un transfert HD epoustouflant!
Review: La version testée ici est le blu ray U.S, qui contient une piste française mais pas de sous titres FR. Le blu ray est region free donc lisible sur les platines chez nous.J’avais vu ce film au cinéma à l’époque de sa sortie ( oui ça ne me rajeunie pas…) et j’en avais un très jolie souvenir. Quelle ne fût pas ma surprise d’apprendre qu’il existait en blu ray aux État unis!Autant le dire d’entrée, le transfert est époustouflant et permet de redécouvrir le film dans des conditions optimales! L’incroyable soin apporté à la créature (sublime make up de Rick Baker), les sfx et les décors sont magnifiés en HD! L’exemple même du film transcendé lorsqu’on le voit dans les conditions qu’il mérite.Le film touche au coeur avec ce Bigfoot un peu maladroit et tellement attachant qui va chambouler la vie des Hendersons, et modifier la vision des choses du père de cette nouvelle famille d’accueil (interprété par l’excellent John Lightgow).On retrouve alors tous les ingrédients qui font le succès de ce type de film, avec une traque de la créature encombrante et incomprise, la découverte de son humanité et un appel à la tolérance et au respect des animaux.Je tiens à ajouter que Bigfoot est ici interprété par un acteur extraordinaire, le regretté Kevin Peter Hall, qui avait également porté le costume du mythique PREDATOR et qui via sa prestation exceptionnelle donne ici vie à la créature de la plus belle des maniére en lui insufflant une émotion unique en son genre qu’aucun effet numérique ne pourra remplacerUn bien beau film que je recommande au amoureux du fantastique qui ont su garder leur âme d’enfant et un blu ray magnifique qui contient même des suppléments!

Review: *【以下結末に触れています】邦題『ハリーとヘンダスン一家』ジョージ・ヘンダスン(ジョン・リスゴー)は、妻ナンシー(メリンダ・ディロン)、娘セーラ(マーガレット・ラングリック)、息子アーニー(ジョシュア・ルドイ)と自然豊かな森の中でキャンプを堪能した後、車でシアトルの自宅へと向かう。その途中、太陽の光に目が眩んだジョージは、大きな動物らしきものをはねてしまう。車から降りて、道に横たわる大きな動物を見たジョージは驚く。何と、それは、未知の生物、ビッグフットだったのだ！1980年代半ば、飛ぶ鳥を落とす勢いだったスティーブン・スピルバーグが、初めて手掛けたTVシリーズ『世にも不思議なアメージング・ストーリー』。その中の一エピソード『パパはミイラ』の演出力をスピルバーグに認められたウィリアム・ディアの長編デビュー作。ファミリー・ピクチャーの良作だ。リック・ベイカーによるハリーの造形は、アカデミー賞最優秀メーキャップ賞を受賞した。日本劇場公開は、1987年8月8日。現在(2016年)、70歳のスティーブン・スピルバーグは、重厚な作品も手掛ける巨匠になったという感があるが、1980年代には、現在の姿など全く考えられなかった。「ピーターパン症候群」などと映画評論家から揶揄されながらも、スピルバーグは、むしろ開き直って、自分の中にある子どもの感性を全面に押し出したファンタジー作品やSF作品を好んで作り上げたものだ。そして、その傾向は、1980年代半ばから、プロデューサーとして精力的に活躍した際に加速した。多忙で、監督までは出来ない自分に代わり、才能ある新人監督を発掘しては(時には、リチャード・ドナーのようなベテランも使った)、ファンタジー、SFを作らせる機会を与えたことは、映画ファンならばよく知っているだろう。本作のウィリアム・ディアも、スピルバーグに見い出され、映画監督デビューした一人。伝説の未知生物ビッグフットとごく普通のアメリカ人一家の心の交流を描いた作品…となれば、異星人をビッグフットに置き換えた、『E.T.』の変奏作品であるのだが(ディア監督も、それを十分意識していただろう)、ディア監督は、童話的な作品として、丁寧にそつなくまとめている。『E.T.』の変奏作品なので、話の骨子や設定は実によく似ているのだが、もちろん違う点もある。『E.T.』が子ども(たち)の視点で描かれているのに対し(エリオット少年が言う「僕が守ってみせる」というセリフが象徴的だ)、本作では、題名が示す通り、ヘンダスン一家の視点で描かれており、ビッグフットのハリーを率先して守ろうとするのは、誰より、一家の長である父親ジョージなのだ！ジョージを始め、一家四人が、最初こそハリーを恐れながらも、次第に、ハリーと心を通わせ、やがて彼の虜になって行く姿は、何とも微笑ましい(失踪したハリーを心配して、一家の心は千々に乱れることになる！)。本作を貫くのは、やさしさ、善意、純粋だ。言うまでもなく、それは、ハリーがもたらしてくれるもの。彼の持つそういった気質が、触れ合う人間たちに伝播し、作品そのもののタッチと味になっているのだ。もちろん、およそ毒気やいやらしさがない本作の無菌ぶりというか、健全ぶりに異を唱えたくなるのも事実だが(デビッド・スーシェ演じる非情なビッグフット・ハンターまでもが、ハリーのやさしさに感化されてしまうぐらいだ！)、現実世界が、多くの問題を抱え、気が滅入るようなおぞましさに溢れているのだから、やはりこういった作品の存在は得難く、現実を忘れさせてくれる映画の力というものを感じさせる。ヘンダスン家の長を演じるリスゴーは、エキセントリックな役柄が多いが、人の良さそうな、ごく普通の父親役も素晴らしく、何とも言えない人情味と温かみが出ている。メリンダ・ディロンは、『未知との遭遇』同様に、いかにも可愛らしい良妻といった感じだ。そして、ハリーを演じたケヴィン・ピーター・ホール(『プレデター2』で、プレデターを演じたことでも有名)。リック・ベイカーの作ったマスクで、目だけしか見えないが、その目の表情が実に豊かで、ハリーのやさしさや慈愛を表現しているのは驚きと言う他ない。本Blu-rayは、35mmオリジナル・ネガからフィルム・スキャン、レストアされたとおぼしいHDマスターを使っているようだ。冒頭クレジットのあたりは、甘い感じがするが、話が進むにつれ、豊かな発色と細やかなディテール表現が感じられる画質。5.1chのDTS-HD マスター・オーディオ音声も明瞭だ。英語字幕も収録。特典には、以下のものが収録。”Harry: Finding the Missing Link”以外は、すべて北米盤DVDに収録されていたものの再録。●ウィリアム・ディア監督によるコメンタリー●削除シーン (3分30秒、SD)●ドキュメンタリー”Harry: Finding the Missing Link” (17 分20秒、HD)●メイキング“The Making of Harry and the Hendersons” (5分39秒、SD)●ミニ・ドキュメンタリー”Newswrap” (2分35秒、SD)●予告編 (1分45秒、SD)●HDデジタル・コピー(ただし、北米地域以外からのアクセスは認証されず、ストリーミングもダウンロードも出来ない)本Blu-rayは、北米盤ながら、R-Aなので、日本の通常のR-A Blu-rayプレーヤーで視聴可能だ。残念ながら、現状、日本盤発売の話を聞かないので、本作のファンは本盤を買ってしまった方が早いだろう。

Review: I was just a baby when this movie came out. Actually I was 2 years old. This is my first time owning a store bought copy of this movie. Growing up I watched it again and again on a vhs tape my mother recorded from TV. Commercials and all. So it’s nice to get a professionally made one now that I am almost 39 years old! Certainly is a blast from the past. I haven’t seen it in years but I do remember a couple of things that I think I should mention there is a scary scene near the beginning where John Lithgow’s character hits a big foot with his car and thinks it’s dead and decides to take his body home with his fam, the big foot is actually very much alive and shows his face and roars at the family through the windshield, it’s very sudden and used to make me jump so warning for people with weak hearts. Also, people who feel strongly about animal rights also might be offended by some of the content of this movie. I didn’t understand it so much as a toddler but I do now. For one thing John Lithgow’s character’s house is filled with hunting trophies (animal heads mounted to the wall) and there is a mint stole. There is a scene where Harry approaches a deer head with affection but then punches a hole in the wall and feels around for the body. There isn’t one. He then attempts to start taking out the animal remains to bury in the yard now that he realized they are no longer alive.. Starting with the mink stole. The wife even scolds Harry for looking sad at her (he is clearly mourning the animal) and the wife justifies owning the stole, and justifies mink farming very offensive,. the husband then tries to hide the rest of the animal remains so Harry can’t bury them, hunting is a huge theme in this movie, that being said, some viewers may have an issue with that. But all that aside Harry (the big foot) makes the movie. He seems mean at first but he’s a big softy. The dvd came in great condition. And was loaded with bonus features including a movie length audio commentary. It’s a little long so great if you’re sick in bed or have 2 hours to burn when you have nothing to do.
