Review: If you like Craig, this is a fun peace of fluff from his younger days. He’s a Scottish hair stylist who thinks he’s been invited to an international competition. But he finds out he misunderstood the invitation. To get in the show, he jumps through all sorts of hoops, finally enters, encounters prejudice & a sleazy finalist. Poking fun at competitions & fashion industry, filmed as a documentary, it’s dated in a few spots but fun nonetheless!

Review: I had this movie on VHS a long time ago but didn’t think it would be re-formatted onto DVD, so I didn’t bother looking for it. But I saw a trailer on a different platform and I hoped that Amazon might have it on Amazon Video, and it was far cheaper to buy this on DVD. This was dispatched and delivered very quickly, almost like a next day service! As for the DVD itself, it was brand new and had no defects with the DVD case nor the DVD itself. I played it almost immediately and realised that I should have bought it a lot sooner! It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea and the chap playing the director of a supposed documentary about a Scottish hairdresser that blags his way to Hollywood, he was not someone that I wanted to watch (he got himself into serious trouble with the law in real life). But apart from that one issue, I still love this film and I will probably watch it over and over again. A total bargain for me at £1.26, much better value for money than buying it on Amazon Video. It’s completely dated and probably doesn’t stand the test of time but it was still worth it for me.

Review: I have recently become a big fan of the Late,Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and I have sought out several comedy specials he’s done. I enjoyed those, and then read his biography, where I found out he had written and starred in a few movies, including this one. I bought it on impulse, and honestly, feel it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Ferguson is fantastic as a gay hairdresser from Scotland who takes on the L.A. scene. It may be a familiar vamp on the « little guy beats the Corporate system » Story, but as always it’s the details that make it worthwhile. A great supporting cast, and some cameos from people like David Hasselhoff and Drew Carey help keep the tongue in cheek perspective, while still giving a little heart to the film. I recommend it highly!

Review: I saw part of this on TV and wished I’d seen the whole thing! So I came straight to Amazon and picked up a copy. One of those docu-movies. Very funny if you like that kind of thing. One to watch over and over again and still chuckle.

Review: I did have this film on video and I had to get it on DVD when Videos are going out of fashion.Ok! The film – it is a great film with a Scottish Star who thought he was being entered into a hairdressing competition in L.A., only to find out he was just watching it and he tried to get into the competition by any means possible and when he did enter, he created a hairdo that Scotland will be proud of him!I got an idea from this film to have a small nested table with drink coaster and chair in my bedroom, like the actor had in his first class hotel room.
