Title: Sympathique
Review: Un bon film sur ce qui n’est plus très souvent un pèlerinage mais constitue une expérience qui vous transforme – et en général vous améliore – quoi que vous ayez eu en tête au départ, même rien du tout.Bien sûr il y a des clichés, des situations invraisemblables et on rate quelques grands moments du parcours mais on peut passer là-dessus tellement l’histoire est réussie si on la suit avec un minimum de fraîcheur d’âme.Les acteurs sont épatants.

Review: Parce que adepte de la marche sur les chemins de Saint Jacques j’ai beaucoup aimé l’ambiance ! On retrouve dans ce livre ce qu’on peut e effet vivre dans cette marche faite de rencontres, de douleurs et de joie.

Review: Die illusionslose Lehrerin Clara, der Alkoholiker Claude, der nichts auf die Reihe bringt und der Workaholic und Firmenchef Pierre, drei Geschwister, die sich « nicht riechen » können, erfahren nach dem Tod ihrer Mutter, dass ihr Erbe an karitative Einrichtungen fallen wird, wenn sie nicht gemeinsam zu Fuß den Jacobsweg gehen.Unter lautem Protest entschließen sich die drei untereinander völlig verschiedenen und zerstrittenen Geschwister dann aber tatsächlich zur Teilnahme, der ja der letzte Wunsch der Mutter ist. Aber ich will nicht alles vorweg nehmen…….Der Film ist sehr schön anzusehen, humorvoll, einfühlsam und voller versteckter Botschaften. Die drei völlig verschiedenen Geschwister werden von excellenten Schauspielern sehr gut rübergebracht, aber auch die anderen « Figuren » des Films machen diesen wundervollen Film zu einem Genuss.Der Film hat viele Facetten und natürlich geht es auch ein wenig um die Liebe, es ist ja schließlich ein französischer Film….Ramzi mit seinem « Santiago de Mekka » war wirklich unglaublich süß….. wir haben nicht nur einmal herzhaft gelacht. Wenngleich wir auch immer wieder gerührt waren und ins Grübeln kamen…Kurz: Ein durch und durch gelungender Film, mit französischem Humor, der zum Glück ohne « Mord und Totschlag » auskommt. Eine absolute Wohltat!Gute französische Filme haben so eine unglaubliche Leichigkeit….. so ganz anders, als man es aus dem Fernsehprogramm kennt – mir gefallen sie eindeutig besser, als die meisten deutschen und amerikanischen Filme!

Review: I’m like the thousands of people who walk the Santiago de Compostela trail every year in that once we’re back home, it’s an ache to go back. Finding a gem of a movie like « Saint Jacques…La Mecque » is a gift. Written by the talented Coline Serreau, who also wrote the original French « Three Men and a Baby » it’s as polished a piece of film storytelling as I’ve seen in years. Highly recommended.(The English subtitles are very easy to read.)

Review: This is a delightful film about a group of reluctant pilgrims on the Camino Santiago del Compostello. Three are part of a dysfunctional family, two brothers and a sister, who loathe each other but who must go on the pilgrimage in order to gain a huge inheritance. The others are a woman recovering from cancer, two Arab boys (one of whom is in love with a fellow traveller, a young French girl, the other, a dyslectic youth who thinks he is on a journey to Mecca – hence the title. It is a charming story in which reconciliation and renewal are a central theme. So, what brings this about – the religious experience or the journey itself. Perhaps a bit of both. It is quickly apparent that Estevez’ production of The Way borrows heavily from this delightful film. Subtitles and a lively script make this an enjoyable viewing experience.

Review: Sottile ironia sul rapporto tra fratelli che pur di ereditare si obbligano a sopportarsi durante il Camino di Santiago, ma che alla fine…Unico neo è solo in fancese e i sottotitoli non ci sono, per cui il parlato stretto si fa fatica a seguirlo.
