Review: Not what I expected. I am not sure quite what the movie was aiming to achieve, but it failed to achieve anything for me. The part of Bob Hope was awful and did not even begin to come close to the actor and entertainer I remember from my childhood.

Review: Region locked so I had to watch online. Did not enjoy the movie but I only watched 30 minutes before deciding it was not for me.Seems like a subject that’s been covered fairly well in film lately. I preferred La Belle Saison (2015). Strange to think we’ve come further with women’s rights (still a way to go) but still have region-locked Blu-Rays. Progress is slow.

Review: I only watched this because of Gugu Mbatha-Raw and was relatively bored to tears as she wasn’t the main character and was probably only cast to attract a black audience. It would have been better if they had completed the Mary Seacole film with Gugu so that we could see her in another 19th century period drama.
