Title: Film interessant
Review: Film annoncé en VOSTFR, qui finalement à une VF, il ne change pas le genre de l’époque.James Cagney plutôt connu pour des rôles de dur à cuire, montre son pouvoir comique et ses talents de danseur.Un film léger représentatif des années 50.

Review: Signé Roy del Ruth, cet hommage conventionnel à l’école militaire américaine de West Point est a priori tout à fait dispensable. La seule raison de voir le film réside dans les numéros musicaux: ceux de Doris Day bien sur, mais surtout ceux de James Cagney. Cet acteur, surtout connu pour ses rôles de gangster, était un danseur hors pair. Il n’eut pas souvent l’occasion de manifester son talent. Ce film oublié permet de découvrir son talent de danseur.

Review: As a « Military Brat, » (my late father was a career U.S. Air Force Intelligence Officer) I found that this film brought back many Military Base memories from my childhood. Even though this film is obviously about The United States Military Academy at West Point it is still a classic for any Military Family to watch and enjoy. Other Americans will enjoy it as well because of the acting performances by James Cagney, Virginia Mayo, Doris Day, Gordon McRae, etc. Great acting and great dance choreography with great songs as well. The scenes and the life at West point are well woven into the story and are very believable. This is a 1950 film but many of The West Point traditions are still evident right down to the uniforms. If you are a Military Brat and you were raised on « Spit Shine and Brasso, » then you will love this film.

Review: This is a fantastic film, it has the feel good factor and for a short while takes your mind off all your troubles. West point story is all the better for having Doris day and Gordon Macrae in it, and who both give fantatic performances. If you are not a fan of Doris Day or musical films its not for you.
